Top photo was for a column about a garage sale where pieces and parts of old Citadel cadet uniforms are p for sale. All proceeds will benefit a scholarship fund put on by the Citadel Women's Club.
The bottom picture is of two really awesome and sweet girls at the beach for an article about potential rip currents over Memorial Day weekend.

My first opportunity covering sports. Not bad, except that baseball is incredibly boring and I got a delicious sunburn.

I had the supreme privilege of working with columnist Bryce "Grain of Rice" Donovan on a photo for his column about how to ditch summer interns, for the extra irony.

Valedictorian of the American College of the Building Arts. This was their second graduating class. The school basically exists to teach young artisans the art of historical preservation and building techniques, like ornamental ironwork and timber framing.
Here are a few more shots that didn't make it into the paper from the event.

Students at a small private school in Mt. Pleasant called the University School conduct experiments on the effects of the oil spill in the Gulf Coast.

Photojournalism + summer = tan!

As I'm nearing the end of my second week of my photo internship at the Post and Courier, I'm amassing quite a little portfolio. Rather than just sharing links on Facebook, I figured this would be a better place to post links to articles, copies of the photos in high res, and maybe some other shots I liked that didn't make it into the paper.
I really appreciate the support and feedback I've received from all my family and friends who have been keeping up with my work. I really love to share what I do with everyone and I'm very fulfilled to have so many people proud of how far I've come. Thank you all for supporting me as I continue to follow my dreams. :)
